- Managing Editor EMEA, Megermarket
October 2018 to July 2019:
Communication assistant for the Erasmus Mundus Journalism Master’s Programme
Content production, Editing, Interviewing, Social media strategy and Activity tracking.
During the first year of my two year masters’ degree I produced content, articles and interviews for the programme website and social media channels. I also assisted the admissions team in shaping admission letters and general information regarding the admission process.
Working alongside the programme coordinator in Aarhus, Denmark gave me great time-managing and organisational skills, as balancing a full-time degree with a demanding job took planning and discipline.
2018 – 2019:
Joint Master's Degree Foundation: Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme in Journalism, Globalisation and Media at Aarhus University.
Focused on a global career, I was happy to study the first part of the joint Erasmus Mundus Journalism Masters with the perhaps most diverse group of fellow journalists from almost 40 different nations. Together, we studied globalisation, media research and analytical approaches to cross-border journalism.
More information regarding the programme and its merits can be found here.
February 2018 – August 2018:
Digital Journalist at Lindhardt & Ringhof
Content production, Copy editing, Video and photo editing, SEO-optimisation, Newsletter production.
Lindhardt & Ringhof is the largest publishing house in Denmark. I worked as a digital journalist in the in-house press office in a fast paced environment where strategic planning was key.
During my time at L&R, I managed press strategies for new books, produced articles, interviews and feature stories for www.bog.dk, the biggest literature news website in Denmark. I also planned and initiated livestream sessions that were broadcasted on social media channels.
Working and writing for L&R learned me the value of timing and trained me further in seeing the good story in seemingly niche literature and how to present it to other media organisations to ensure optimal exposure.
2016 – 2018:
Master’s Degree: Journalism and Communication at Roskilde University (Pending)
Despite choosing not to graduate this MA programme, I still gained valuable competencies in the fields of investigative journalism, data-based research, corporate-, political- and strategic communication and public relations.
I also conducted thorough research in contemporary political rhetoric, resulting in a study entitled “Trumpism – a study of fascist communication” that was awarded the highest possible mark (12) for its nuanced perspectives on signs of neo-fascism in the speeches of Donald J. Trump, and for its critical analysis of qualitative data.
August 2017 - February 2018:
Press Officer (Intern) at The Royal Danish Embassy to the United Kingdom
Public relations, Content production, CMS management, Newsletter production, Conference assistance
As the only intern in the department of communication, culture and public diplomacy, I was responsible for publishing the embassy's newsletter, maintaining a strong presence on social media and producing various articles for the website. I was also tasked with producing video-material for use in event promotion and recruitment.
At the Royal Danish Embassy I trained my ability to quickly adapt to a set of specific formalities and procedures present in a public authority. I also learned to quickly analyse news stories and determine the its potential for advantageous exposure.
Working across departments such as the Trade Office, Invest-In-Denmark, and the Defense Department enhanced my teamwork skills.
June 2016 – August 2017:
The Danish Rowing Federation (DFfR) - Journalist: Part-time
Digital journalism, Sports journalism, CMS management and migration, Live reportage
While I was a journalist for the DFfR, it was my responsibility to produce new content in the shape of news, interviews and feature articles. I managed to write, edit and publish more than 100 articles for the DFfR while working part time, next to my undergraduate studies. I further assisted DFfR in migrating from one content management system (CMS) to another over the summer.
I had my trial by fire when DFfR hosted the world’s largest rowing event. I was tasked with covering it, and I was solely in charge of creating the overall media strategy for the four-day event that had more than 3500 athletes participating and a worldwide audience. Long hours and close corporation with our on- site photographer, allowed me to write 14 articles in four days.
September 2014 – December 2014:
Undergraduate Degree Semester Abroad
Journalism and English Literature at University of Sussex, UK.
In pursuit of a broader journalistic and academic horizon, I arranged and funded a semestre at the esteemed University of Sussex. Here, I completed courses such as "Questioning the Media" with first class honours (72%), "Journalism, Research and Writing". During the semestre I encountered my first taste of journalism and academia beyond the borders of Denmark. An experience that I now owe a great deal.
September 2013 – 2016:
Undergraduate Degree: Journalism and English at Roskilde University (graduated).
During my undergraduate degree, I received the highest possible mark in all English courses and modules (A/12). I also received an unweighted average mark of 9,4. I ranked top 5 of my journalism class during the mid-degree seven-hour written test of which 68% of the cohort failed.
During my undergraduate, I did a group-study where we closely examined Danish radio news and their quoting-procedures, in which we found several faults. My bachelor’s thesis was written alonside a team of five other students. In this, we studied how five major Danish newspapers covered culturally distant nations. Thesis was highly marked (B/10) for its originality, its strong methodological approach and its findings.

Examples of work:
2019 - 2020:
Joint Master's Degree at City, University of London and Aarhus University (Denmark).
- Track: Journalism, Media and Globalisation.
- Specialisation: Financial Journalism and Business Reporting.
Looking for the right niche, the specialisation in financial journalism, business reporting and data journalism introduced me to the most exciting field of journalism. During my time at City, I produced both market and company analysis under tight deadlines and strict supervision from former Reuters and Financial Times reporters. I made myself familiar with countless data processing and visualisation tools such as Excel, R, Datawrapper, Flourish.
Specialising at City allowed me to further my interest in finance, banking and the financial crisis as I wrote my dissertation on shadow banking, macroprudential regulation and the Capital Markets Union, which I finished in May, 2020 with a distinction.
Marks with distinction:
Average: 71,66%
Dissertation: 72%
Data Journalism: 75%
Journalism Innovation: 73%
Marks with merit:
Business Reporting: 69%
Fundamentals of Financial Journalism: 68%
Overall marks:

July 2020 to November 2021:
M&A Reporter at TMT Finance
Investigative reporting, Analysis and Deal Tracking.
Shortly after graduating from City University of London I was approached by TMT Finance. After a probationary period with a steep learning curve, I am now working as a full time M&A reporter on a permanent contract.
At TMT Finance, I cover mergers and acquistions in the tech and telecommunications industry across the Nordics and EMEA region. I also contribute to financial and industry analysis reports for major corporate clients, report deal data to a proprietary database, and pilot live, virtual conference sessions.
Examples of work:

Senior M&A Reporter at Mergermarket
Investigative deal reporting, market analysis, origination.
From TMT Finance I decided to make the move to a large, international newsroom at Mergermaket, part of ION Analytics, where I could continue chasing news and proprietary information, learn from a global team of editors, and continue to build my source book.
For a little over two years now, I have scooped deals with enterprise value from below EUR 50m to over EUR 10bn. I especially enjoy getting the inside track on large cap private equity exits in the technology space, and keeping tabs on the internal movements within private equity firms and investment banks in the Nordic, UK and DACH regions.
During the last two years, I have crossed several milestones as a reporter.
The first was being named Top 4 performing journalist based on view count, and Top 5 performing journalist based on number of scoops across not just Mergermarket but the entire Acuris/ION brand globally in 2022.
The second was being promoted to senior reporter in February of 2023, following a number of high profile scoops, a dedication to teamwork and a wealth of sector knowledge and connections.
And the third milestone so far came in September of 2023, when I published my 500th proprietary scoop for Mergermarket, meaning that I at the time was producing just under 1.4 exclusive news stories per day.

Volunteer work:
Mentorship Coordinator – 2020
I lead a mentorship programme connecting graduates and alumni.
Financial/Political Columnist – 2019
I planned and organised a monthly column for an international expat publication.
